About Accelerator DY 062 Epoxy Resin

The Accelerator DY 062 Epoxy Resin is a prefilled and cycloaliphatic hot-curing solution for medium and high voltage conditions. Plus, this resin is resistant to thermal shock when combined with high glass transition temperature. The resin is used in the industrial sector for insulating outdoor electrical components like bushings, switches, insulators, etc. The resin has long pot-life at medium or moderate temperature, excellent dielectric properties and high tracking & arc resistivity. Our resin offers extremely high erosion resistivity under vibrant temperature conditions and ultraviolet radiations. Short gel and demolding time of this resin are above 140 degrees centigrade temperature. Ideal for humid conditions, the Accelerator DY 062 Epoxy Resin is processed using precise chemical composition.

FAQs of Accelerator DY 062 Epoxy Resin:

Q: How is Accelerator DY 062 used in epoxy resin systems?

A: Accelerator DY 062 is typically mixed directly with epoxy resin formulations to facilitate faster and more effective curing, especially at room or lower temperatures. Ensure thorough mixing for optimal results and always follow recommended dosage guidelines from the resin manufacturer.

Q: What benefits does DY 062 offer for epoxy applications?

A: DY 062 significantly shortens the curing time of epoxy resin systems, enabling rapid processing and turnover in industrial and construction settings. It maintains excellent solubility within resin matrices, ensuring homogeneous blending and reliable final properties.

Q: When should I add DY 062 to my epoxy mix?

A: It is advisable to incorporate DY 062 at the initial mixing stage, before adding any hardeners or fillers. This approach ensures even distribution throughout the resin blend and maximizes its accelerating effect during the curing process.

Q: Where should Accelerator DY 062 be stored to maintain its shelf life?

A: DY 062 should be stored in its original, tightly sealed container at temperatures between 2C and 40C. Avoid exposure to direct sunlight or extreme temperature fluctuations to preserve its chemical properties and extend its 12-month shelf life.

Q: What is the process for handling and transporting DY 062?

A: Since DY 062 is not classified as hazardous, standard industrial handling and transportation practices are sufficient. Nevertheless, we recommend using protective gear during handling and keeping containers tightly closed to prevent spills and contamination.

Q: What packaging sizes are available for DY 062?

A: Accelerator DY 062 is supplied in 25 kg and 200 kg drums, ensuring convenient options for both small-scale and bulk users. These packaging formats are designed for ease of storage, handling, and distribution within the epoxy supply chain.
